'Here's the Deal' with a Common Crutch Phrase

Today, Jen Doll updated her original list of crutch words, but our commenters think there's still a few more out there. Here's the deal according to The Atlantic Wire's Tokyo correspondent Jake Adelstein who writes in comments

"Here's the deal.." That's my father's favorite prefatory phrase when he wants to say, "Listen, I'm going to explain this to you in a way that even you (with your limited intellect) can understand." Of course, usually, it turns out what he has to say is absolutely, if not literally, correct. 

For the record, I've definitely heard people say that literally a million times.
