The Videos You Shouldn't (and Probably Couldn't) Try at Home

We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. This is why every day The Atlantic Wire highlights the videos that truly earn your five minutes (or less) of attention. Today:

Warning: Don't try this at home (provided you have an excavator and the burning desire to tempt fate or something).  

Your other un-replicable video of the day comes to us from Afghanistan where an unnamed soldier's helmet cam caught this heart-stopping footage of machine gun fire from Taliban footage. That said, we'll let the cameraman explain the situation: 

I got a hit a total of 4 times. My helmet cam died and i made it down the mountain on my own. I was also hit in the side of my helmet and my eye pro was shot off of my face ... I was point heading down the face of the hill with the LT. when we got hit. the rest of the squad was pinned down by machine gun fire. I didn't start the video until a few mins into the firefight for obvious reasons. I came out into the open to draw fire so my squad could get to safety.
