The White House's campaign to get us into the holiday spirit is officially working: it has released an adorable (and kind of trippy?) video of the president's dog Bo "inspecting" the decorations, all to the tune of The Nutcracker's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy." After strolling by all the lights, ornaments and branches, he stops at a statue in his own image. Robin Givhan at the Daily Beast reported yesterday that a life-size version of Bo in the East Garden room is made out of 18,000 black pompoms and 2,000 white.
We have to hand it to him, Bo's a pretty good actor (or at least comes to the person behind the camera holding treats out for him well.) Watch for yourself—we promise it will melt your heart, regardless of your politics.
