On the same day the NRA made themselves seem out-of-touch at a press conference, blaming out-of-date movies and video games as the root cause of mass shootings like the ones in Newtown, the people of Demand a Plan released a video full of popular celebrities advocating for the cause of gun control. Participants include Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé, Paul Rudd, Michelle Williams, Jon Hamm, Amy Poehler, Julianne Moore, Chris Rock, and many more. Unsurprisingly, Demand a Plan is a campaign run by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, an organization co-chaired by Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York. Michael Grynbaum wrote in the New York Times today about Bloomberg's plan to enlist his considerable financial resources and Hollywood star power to change gun laws. Watch the video:
