Sure, Joe Biden may have gotten his Parks and Recreation cameo, but Nancy Pelosi is topping that by appearing in this month's series finale of 30 Rock. The House minority leader told Lisa de Moraes of the Washington Post that the cameo, her first appearance on a scripted show, came about because of her admiration for the show's star and creator, Tina Fey: "I would do almost anything Tina Fey asks me to do." (Who wouldn't? Not us, and not the numerous accomplished women who Fey gathered for the show's most recent episode.)
De Moraes explains that we know little about what Pelosi is actually going to be doing on the show, but we can only imagine. Perhaps she gets into a political argument with notoriously Republican Jack Donaghy. Perhaps she gives Liz Lemon life advice. Perhaps she joins Tracy Jordan's entourage. Whatever it is, it's sure to top Pelosi's guest-judge appearance on Top Chef DC. The 30 Rock finale/ will air Jan. 31. In the meantime, we're still waiting for that Newt Gingrich Parks and Rec episode, also set to run sometime this month.
