Much has been made of the United States' initial reticence on Hosni Mubarak's reign in the face of the popular demonstrations that have overtaken Egypt, as the Obama administration was torn between supporting a long-standing ally on one hand and the popular demands for democracy on the other.

Lisa Benson's cartoon likens US foreign policy and Hillary Clinton's attitude towards the situation in Egypt to that of a spectator at a sports game, fold-able chair in tote.
