As the U.S. continues to deliberate whether or not to intervene in Libya, Muammar Qaddafi and his military forces attack his civilian rebels from air and sea today. In an interview, Qaddafi's son Saif told reporters "we will win, and we're not afraid of the American fleet, NATO, France, European, this is our country. We live here, we die here. We will never, ever surrender to those terrorists."
James Clapper, President Obama's top intelligence adviser, told the Senate earlier today that he doubts the Libyan dictator will relinquish power anytime soon: "Qaddafi is in this for the long haul." In fact, the BBC reports that Clapper actually predicted "that Col Gaddafi's superior militlary force would prevail over the long term."
