"We have had so much so-called democracy that it has made us nauseated."

--President of Belarus Aleksandr G. Lukashenko in his yearly address to the country, regarding the subway bombing that took place in Minsk last week. It's general consensus that despite guarantees of democratic reform from Lukashenko, the results of December's election were largely fraudulent--Lukashenko received 80 percent of the vote and ordered police to forcefully quash protests, according to the Times--in a move roundly condemned by international observers.
