Mediation Efforts in Libya and Yemen Draw Skeptical Response
Muammar Qaddafi vowed Friday to unleash "catastrophe" on Europe if NATO airstrikes don't stop bombing Libya, Reuters reports. "We advise you to retreat before you face a catastrophe ... I advise you to ground your planes ... and to hold discussions with the Libyan people," Qaddafi said. He denounced an arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court Monday.
USA Today's Douglas Stanglin reports that Qaddafi was addressing thousands of people in the main square of Tripoli, and warned, "If we decide, we can also move it (the fight) to Europe."
