On Monday, at least 100,000 people rallied in Oslo to mourn the 76 people who died in the bombing and shooting attacks on the city three days ago. Many carried white or red roses, Reuters reports, while other rallies were held across Norway. Crown Prince Haakon told demonstrators, "Tonight the streets are filled with love."

Accused attacker Anders Behring Breivik was arraigned Monday afternoon; he told the district court that he committed the terror attacks to block the Labour Party from recruiting in his country and that Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland was his target. He was "deeply influenced" by American bloggers who write about Islam, including Pamela Geller, who led a campaign against Campbell's for offering halal soup in Canada.
