Far removed from what just happened at France's nuclear site of Marcoule, it's easy to get a little unnerved by the headlines. The Associated Press has reported that the country's nuclear watchdog had announced an unspecified explosion at the nuclear plant. The AP noted: "It was not immediately clear how serious the accident was, or whether there were any victims or the potential for leaks." As of the writing of this post, (8:33 am ET) Reuters has updated the development  by reporting that the explosion was caused by a furnace, has killed one person, and didn't cause a radioactive leak. Also an important note from Reuters: the location "is a nuclear waste management site that does not include any reactors."
