Video: Pilot Walks Away After Helicopter Crashes on Live TV

A New Zealand helicopter pilot got a tremendous scare today when his helicopter was torn in half by power cables, but he somehow managed to walk away with no serious injuries. Check out the video below:

The copter was being used to help install a large Christmas tree on the waterfront in Auckland about 10:30 in the morning local time when the tail rotor appeared to get caught in cables hanging over the site. The tail snapped of the back of the helicopter sending it plunging about 30 feet to the ground. The pilot, Greg Gribble, was seen limping away but was not seriously injured.
