When Rafael Nadal squared off against Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final on Sunday, no one expected they were about to watch history being made — nor did they realize it would be made on a Monday. But the match, a "sweat-drenched, sneaker-squeaking 5 hour, 53-minute endurance contest," as the AP puts it, would go down as the longest Grand Slam singles final in pro-tennis history. At 1:37 a.m. Monday morning, an exhausted Djokovic emerged the winner.
Less lucky was one female fan in the stands, to whom Djokovic tossed the sweat-drenched shirt he tore off his body in a beastly fashion during his moment of victory. Watch what happens next (via The Daily What):
