The World Economic Forum's annual meeting opened Wednesday at Davos, Switzerland, and so far the most interesting part isn't who's there, but who isn't. The New York Times' DealBook tells us who won't be at the elite gathering, among them: Former International Monetary Fund director (and one-time sexual assault defendant) Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former News of the World editor (and accused phone hacking overseer) Rebekah Brooks, and former World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (and loyalist son of the late Muammar Qaddafi) Saif al-Islam Qaddafi. The schadenfreude-fueled trip down memory lane is so much more enjoyable than other reports on how the rich and powerful think wealth distribution is a problem. Frankly, it's the only story from the conference we've manage to finish so far.
