Protests in Pakistan over the anti-Islam film have continued to be ugly, and today things managed to get worse. While speaking at a rally, a Pakistani government official placed a $100,000 bounty on the head of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the filmaker behind Innocence of Muslims. 

"I announce today that this blasphemer, this sinner who has spoken nonsense about the holy Prophet, anyone who murders him, I will reward him with $100,000," Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour said at a press conference, according to Reuters. "I invite the Taliban brothers and the al Qaeda brothers to join me in this blessed mission." In a sign not everyone in Pakistan feels the same way as Bilour, a spokesman for the Prime Minister and the rest of the government "disassociated itself" from his comments. 

Sixteen people were killed in protests across Pakistan on Friday in what was supposed to be a "day of love" for the Prophet Mohammed. Anger towards Nakoula hasn't simmered despite the U.S. government spending $70,000 on ads showing President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denouncing the film. This is a far cry from what happened in Libya over the last 24 hours, where local police, government officials, and protestors worked to run armed militia groups thought to be responsible for killing U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens out of town.
