Leaving no form of warfare unexplored, Syrian forces employed a teenage form of warfare and sent out a text-message blast to phones across the country that said "Game over" on Thursday, reportedly the bloodiest day of the country's 18-month civil war. "The texts appear to be part of the regime's psychological battle against the rebels, but are highly unlikely to have any effect on fighters intent on toppling Assad," reports the AP. And it makes sense that this bizarre psyops experiment won't do much good, since rebel fighters have seen everything from shellings to the massacre of children. Rebels could, you know, just delete the message. As silly as it seems to have a bloody regime sending out text messages, it's actually an upgrade in their psyops division since it was just in August they showered down leaflets on rebels asking them to drop their weapons which of course didn't work.
