An adorable dachshund who became a social media celebrity was killed in a revolving door accident at Vogue House, the London home of Tatler magazine. The pup, Alan, was owned by Tatler editor's assistant and events manager Jennifer George, and was a regular office presence. He had a Twitter feed, of course, on which he was deemed the Tatler "office manager" with over 2,600 followers. 

Accounts from places like the Telegraph and the Daily Mail describe that, as he was walked by a staff member (the Telegraph says it was reportedly intern), Alan tried to "rush" or "bolt" through a revolving door when he became caught and died. Per the Telegraph, reports that he had been decapitated have been deemed incorrect. One source told the Telegraph the death was a "tragic accident in a split second."

George posted the news of Alan's death on Twitter:
