On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don't know what makes people so cruel.In his own peculiar way, Sir Elton does seem to be praising Christianity. Whatever the intent, reactions on Twitter range from angry to sad to ecstatic.
