Accused WikiLeaker Bradley Manning is being moved from his cell in Quantico, where his treatment has drawn a great deal of criticism--most notable from the now-former assistant Secretary of State P.J. Crowley. Wednesday, Manning will be sent to the military prison in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, the Associated Press reports.

Manning has been forced to sleep and stand to be counted while naked; he now sleeps in a suicide-proof smock. (Psychaitrists and his lawyer say he's not a suicide risk.) He spends 23 hours a day alone, and then is escorted to an empty room where he can exercise for one hour. In other words, the outcry--from members of the German parliament to Amnesty International--stems not from the condition of the brig, but from the isolation and humiliation he experienced within it. The AP report does not say why Leavenworth will be any better.
