When Being Close Friends With the President Isn't a Benefit

Here's some non-government shutdown (and unsavory) Obama-related news that spread on Thursday evening: 49-year-old Robert Richard Titcomb, Obama's friend from their days at the Punahou School, was arrested in Honolulu on Monday night for allegedly soliciting sex from an undercover officer.

As nearly every item about the incident mentioned, Titcomb and Obama are "regular golfing buddies."  Obviously, were it not for Titcomb's relationship with the President of The United States, this $500 misdemeanor wouldn't even make the crime blotters of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
