So, after weeks of ridicule, the Walt Disney Co. admitted to jumping the gun. As The Wall Street Journal learned, the company won't be pursuing exclusive rights to the term "Seal Team 6," the name of the now-iconic Navy force that eliminated Osama bin Laden earlier this month. The corporation brazenly filed for a trademark two days after the news, puzzling everyone, and finally withdrew its application "out of deference" when the Navy decided to claim what was theirs this week. 

Now, unless the Navy decides to brand official gear, Americans won't be subjected to Disney-fied "Seal Team 6" items. Here are the things, according to The Journal report and The Atlantic Wire's initial search, that Disney was pursuing:

• A network show akin to NCIS or JAG
• Handheld videogames
• Snow globes
• Assorted clothing, footwear and headwear
• Entertainment and education services
• Gymnastic items
• Christmas stockings, ornaments, decorations
