After numerous delays since its heavily-hyped April 29th launch date, NASA has given the go-ahead for the space shuttle Endeavour's second attempt on May 16th. The day had previously been designated an optimistic target, but after "amazing progress" over the weekend on repairing the technical glitches that lead to the delays, the Endeavour's pilot Greg Johnson today tweeted that the shuttle was "on track" for launch. No word on whether those 700,000 tourists will rebook their hotel rooms prior to the event.
