The Reverend Billy Graham was hospitalized this morning for treatment of a pulmonary condition. Graham was admitted to Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, "following a health episode overnight," according to CNN. USA Today reports that "initial testing suggested pneumonia."

Graham, 92, was said to be in stable condition and "resting comfortably," according to his primary physician. A press release said that Graham "has great confidence in the Mission Hospital medical team, and is already feeling much better."

The preacher, whom Harld Bloom has called "an icon" and who came in seventh place in Gallup's poll of the most admired people of the 20th century, has had his share of health problems in recent years, including macular degeneration and hearing loss. But the Asheville Citizen-Times reports that "Graham has remained in good overall health with a strong heart and a clear mind."
