The Army psychologist accused of killing 13 people in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, will face the death penalty in a military trial. According to CNN, the lawyer representing defendant Major Nidal Hasan had argued to avoid a death penalty trial, insisting that "a life prison term should be the most severe penalty under consideration and say[ing] a death penalty trial is more time-consuming and expensive."
