Too bad for comic book hero Foreskin Man (and his anti-Semitic undertones): San Francisco may not get that November vote on whether the city can regulate circumcisions. According to a Superior Court judge ruling described as "tentative" by The Los Angeles Times, the city can't put a measure on the ballot to regulate medical procedures:
[O]nly the state is allowed to regulate medical procedures, and "the evidence presented is overwhelmingly persuasive that circumcision is a widely practiced medical procedure," the ruling said.
In June, Jena Troutman one of the self-described "intactivists" behind a similar ban in Santa Monica, CA dropped her bid to outlaw the practice in that city.
