Bloomberg's Sly Advice to Occupy Protesters: Start a Company
Even though Mayor Bloomberg seems to have mixed feelings about Occupy Wall Street, he's making it clear that he's not one to tolerate protests without permits, Zuccotti Park-based ones or otherwise. "We will start enforcing that more," Bloomberg said in a radio interview about getting tougher on applying protester permit rules, according the New York Post. Bloomberg was also quoted from the interview saying "We'll eventually have to work something out here." The hint at stronger enforcement could mean more arrests at demonstrations, like the one that got 700 protesters arrested for trying to march across the Brooklyn Bridge in early October. At the time, Bloomberg used a similar line about enforcing permits. He was quoted by The New York Times saying the "police did exactly what they were supposed to do ... It's very easy to get a permit."
