The Occupy Wall Street Protesters Aren't Just a Bunch of Kids

While the movement has been identified as a millennial driven movement, the demographics are much more diverse than that. Data from business analyst Harrison Schultz and Baruch College's professor Hector R. Cordero-Guzman finds that the protests have attracted an older crowd. They surveyed 1,169 people who visited the occupywallst.org site and while they found that 64 percent of the respondents are 34 or younger, "one-third of respondents is older than 35, and one-fourth is 45 or older," Fast Company's Sean Captain reports. That's a bit higher than a New York magazine poll from October 2, which had about a quarter of those asked above thirty
