Politicians Get More Blame Than Banks for Economic Woes

Forced to choose in a Gallup poll, 64 percent of people surveyed picked the federal government as having the most blame for the country's economic problems, with just 30 percent picking Wall Street. But before you leap to any Tea Party vs. Occupy Wall Street conclusions, take note of this: when not forced into an either-or choice 78 percent said they blamed Wall Street either "a great deal" or "a fair amount" while 87 percent said Washington. So the upshot of the poll may just be that Americans have a really tough time deciding who to blame more for the terrible economy.
