New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly's trying week after his involvement with an anti-Muslim film came to light, has somehow managed to get worse. An unnamed woman is accusing his son Greg—a co-anchor on the local Fox morning show Good Day New York—of raping her last October.

According to The New York Times, Kelly's accuser told authorities about the alleged incident, which she says happened in her law office in Lower Manhattan after she and Kelly went out for drinks, "late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning" and the investigation has already been handed over to Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance's office.

According to police sources, the accuser said she and Kelly continued to correspond via phone and text message even after the alleged attack. She also told investigators that her boyfriend confronted Commissioner Kelly "at a public event" and told him about the alleged assault. According to the accuser, Kelly responded by telling him to write a letter. Through a spokesman, the elder Kelly confirmed that that incident took place, but said the letter-writing suggestion was actually Kelly's way of being helpful, since other people were around, and the boyfriend was talking about how the alleged rape "ruined my girlfriend’s life.” It's unclear if the letter ended up being written. Greg Kelly denied the accusation through his lawyer.
