In what's becoming a weapon of choice for the digital backers of Occupy Wall Street protests, Anonymous has released the personal data of Oakland city officials in respect to the Occupy protests there that turned violent on Jan. 28. The cache of data includes phone numbers, home addresses, birthdays, and other personal data for Mayor Jean Quan, interim police chief Howard Jordan, members of Oakland's city council and officials such as City Administrator Deanna Santana.
The Pastebin document with all the information is dated Jan. 28, but it only just came to the attention of the press because Anonymous blogged about it on Tuesday. Sharing this kind of information doesn't really do much if nobody knows its out there, right?
