After spending nearly two weeks behind bars, George Zimmerman was released from a Florida county jail on Sunday night after posting bail and then heading to a undisclosed location. Zimmerman's bail was set at $150,000 during a court hearing on Friday, but he was held over the weekend while he secured the necessary 10 percent to post the bond and make arrangements for where he will go while awaiting trial.

Officials would not say where Zimmerman is headed, but it is believed he has permission to leave the state while preparing for trial, since his location will be known to the court. The conditions of the bail include a curfew, the surrendering of his passport, and a 24-hour monitoring via a GPS-enabled bracelet. He's also not allowed to carry any guns or drink alcohol. Zimmerman had been in jail since he was arrested on April 11 and charged with second-degree murder for the shooting of Trayvon Martin. His next court appearance will be May 29.

Zimmerman was released at midnight and other than a few news photographers, his presence was met with little fanfare and no protesters.
