12 Cops Jailed As Mexico Figures Out Shooting of U.S. Embassy Workers
Police have arrested two men in Tulsa for the murders of three black men and the shooting of two others that happened on Friday. Jake England, 19, and Alvin Watts, 32, both white, were arrested Saturday evening after the police received an anonymous tip, according to the AP report. The Tulsa World reports that England's father was shot in April 2010, and the man arrested for the crime was black. The police wouldn't say if they would call the shootings hate crimes, or if revenge was a motive. When the World checked England's Facebook page, they found this status update:
Jake England makes several references to the two-year anniversary of his father’s death on his Facebook page, including a post 3:04 p.m. Thursday that says, “Today is two years that my dad has been gone shot by a f------ n----- it's hard not to go off between that and sheran I'm gone in the head.”
England’s Facebook page indicates that his girlfriend, Sheran Hart Wilde, recently died.
The shootings were apparently random. All of the victims were out walking when they were shot. The task force formed by state and local police took twelve hours before making the arrests.
