Folks, let's be honest: If we can spend $40,000 a day to keep Newt Gingrich safe, can't we do the same for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer?  The man was robbed at machete-point then burgled all in the span of four months.

The Washington Post's Roxanne Roberts and Amy Argetsinger report that Justice Breyer's Georgetown residence was the scene of  a break-in on May 4. "According to a police report, the burglar appears to have entered by breaking a pane of glass near the front door; a pair of $500 silver candlesticks and a 100-piece set of silver valued at $2,500 were taken," according to The Post. Luckily, no one was home at the time of the burglary.

This was the second incident this year for Breyer. Back in February, he was robbed at machete-point of $1,000 in cash at his Caribbean vacation home.
