Mike McQueary Gives First Public Account of What He Saw Sandusky Do
Sometime around 10 p.m. Friday night, Jerry Sandusky was found guilty of 45 out of the potential 48 charges being brought against him. The length of Sandusky's jail term hasn't been decided yet, but he's facing potentially hundreds of years behind bars. At 68, it's widely expected he'll spend the rest of his life in jail.
Just as the jury began their two days of deliberation, Sandusky's adopted son Matt released a statement through his attorney saying he was abused while being raised by Sandusky and his wife. Jerry Sandusky never took the stand during the trial because the defense knew that if he did, Matt would be called as the rebuttal witness. Sandusky's attorney said after the trial that was what prompted Sandusky not to testify. His attorney also said Sandusky and his family "accepted the verdict," but Reuters is reporting they're contemplating an appeal. Sandusky will be sentenced sometime in the next 90 days.
