By the time we find out who the next president will be, Americans are going to be very tired, according to a new survey from the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. Out of 2,013 people aged 18 and older surveyed in the first half of  of June, 67 percent think the presidential campaign will  be "exhausting." And, as you can see from the chart below, that's at least one thing Republicans and Democrats can agree on. 

Members of the parties also nearly agree that the election will be "informative" with 64 percent of Republicans and 66 percent of Democrats choosing that bland descriptor. Independents are a lot less optimistic — only 53 percent think it will be so.

On the other hand 49 percent said they thought it would be "exciting," while 63 percent with "annoying" (a category we think is probably closely related to "exhausting").

The survey also found that 56 percent of Americans think the campaign has been both "too long" and "too dull" even though 79 percent think it is important. More Republicans think the campaign is dull now than they did in March. Missing Santorum? 

It's only July, people. Buck up! We've got a long way to go.
