The problems with watching porn while you're supposed to be manning the nation's missile defense are obvious, but the insidious thing about Missile Defense Agency's warning to its employees to lay off the smut is that employees were apparently not practicing safe cybersex. If your'e going to use MDA computers for non-missile-defense-related stuff, it would be better not to download potentially virus-ridden smut. "Agency spokesman Rick Lehner said in an e-mail that the memo was written in response to 'a few people downloading material from some websites that were known to have had virus and malware issues,' " Bloomberg's Tony Capaccio wrote. For good measure, Capaccio spoke to some cyber-security experts, who told him that porn websites are frequently used as fronts for criminal and foreign intelligence services using malware to "gain access to and harvest data from government and corporate computer networks." Have none of these people seen War Games? The only winning move is not to play... at work.
