Hillary Clinton Is Tired of Having the 'Having It All' Debate
Hillary Clinton told a Marie Claire reporter, "Some women are not comfortable working at the pace and intensity you have to work at in these jobs." One of our commenters thinks she'd be right if she changed one word. Eoghan01 writes:
I think that would be so much better as "some people are not comfortable working at the pace and intensity you have to work at in these jobs." I'm sure that's true of a lot of men as well.
Our commenter isn't the only person wanting clarification on Clinton's quote. Ayelet Waldman's Marie Claire story framed Clinton's thoughts in response to Anne-Marie Slaughter's widely discussed Atlantic cover story, but Slaughter insists the quotes about "whining" were not spoken in reference to her:
Hillary Clinton, for whom I have the greatest admiration and loyalty, was not talking about me when she mentioned whining. #anything4astory
