A four star general, his eager biographer, an FBI probe, another "other woman," a disgraced resignation—as one commenter notes, General Petraeus' affair is a Hollywood blockbuster that practically writes itself. RoseMarieDC writes:

Not even a Hollywood script writer would have come up with such a juicy story. This is bound to turn into a movie sooner or later.

But how would they cast it? Rashida Jones bears some resemblance to Paula Broadwell, but maybe Angelina Jolie would be better at playing up the home-wrecker angle. It's hard to imagine this actor as head of the CIA, but if the director wants to bring a hapless quality to Petraeus' character, William H. Macy could work.
