Drinking and driving is depressingly common around the holiday season, but if you're going to do it, maybe you should avoid getting busted for parking on the front lawn of the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. 

That's what happened to 55-year-old Donald Blood III on Christmas Eve in Dorset, Vermont. The Rutland Herald reports police were called to the Wilson House around 7:30 p.m. Blood had parked his car on the front lawn thinking it was a parking lot. The North Adams Transcript says Blood was a guest at the house, which serves as a meeting place for treatment groups; it wasn't clear from the police report whether Blood was lapsing from recovery.

The Wilson House was built in 1952 in Dorset, Vermont. It was the birthplace of AA co-founder Bill Wilson, who is now deceased. The building is "place of sanctuary where people can come to give thanks to God for their new lives," according to its website, and is still regularly used for AA meetings.
