Valentine's Day this year is tinged with sadness: the date also marks the two-month anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre. To commemorate both the holiday and the anniversary, Sandy Hook Promise, the non-profit from the Newtown community, has created virtual Valentines that can be shared on social media. The Valentines offer support to Newtown and have messages like "love wins." Some examples:



Part of the effort involves using the #1MillionHearts on Twitter. This comes about a week after a pictures of real-life letters to the community began to get posted on a Tumblr. The community had been grappling with what to do with the overwhelming number of tokens of grief that poured in the wake of the tragedy.
