Lou Dobbs Tonight

Lou Dobbs has spent most of the past three decades as an anchor for CNN. More information

A longtime leader of the conservative-populist movement, Dobbs positions himself as a tireless guardian of the middle class. His trademark is his opposition to illegal immigration, a position that unites his fans and draws accusations of xenophobia from his foes. He is wary of Wall Street, mistrustful of the federal government, and against the expansion of free trade. Dobbs delivers his program’s original, if agenda-based, reporting with folksy speech and urgent titles like "Exporting America” and "War on the Middle Class."

Dobbs briefly left CNN from 1999 to 2001 to found Space.com, an astronomy-news site that was a casualty of the dot-com bubble’s bursting. This year, Dobbs provoked controversy and feuded with CNN leadership over his attention to "birther" conspiracy theories, which speculate that Barack Obama is not an American citizen.

Holocaust Museum Shootings

I don't think there's any American who wants any infringement of their first amendment rights no matter how hateful the statement ... But the fact the man could carry a gun, a rifle, in this instance, into the -- at least the entrance of the museum itself, that boggles the mind.

Sotomayor's Confirmation Hearings to Begin July 13th

This woman broke her ankle at LaGuardia airport and still flew to Washington, D.C., still met with senators, went into a Washington hospital, and got that ankle fixed. Now, if that is representative the way the woman meets adversity and handles herself, you know what? I will endorse her for crying out loud. I think that's pretty strong stuff.
