While defending the rights of townhall protesters to speak out against Obama, three prominent bloggers on the right have roundly denounced a man who brought a loaded 9-milimeter gun to the Obama event in New Hampshire yesterday--even though he was technically operating within his rights.

Why have three proudly stalwart pro-gun advocates excoriated Kostric? They go to pains to point out that the Secret Service needs no distractions while Obama is facing four times the number of threats against him than Bush.

• Anarchist, Not Conservative, says Patrick at Political Byline. " This is the huge difference between the mainstream Conservatives and yes, Republicans, who believe in the idea of "Rule of Law" and the whole "Viva Revolution" Ron Paul crowd who believe in a so-called peaceful (Wink Wink) Revolution. The Ron Paul crowd believes that the "Rule of Law" infringes on the Constitutional rights of every American citizen. This, in the opinion of this writer, is an extremist position that is rooted in the concept on anarchy."
• Total Loss of Credibility, says Uncle Jimbo at Blackfive. "The clown who brought a gun to the Obama healthcare farce did the cause of the right to bear arms no help though. On so many levels and for so many reasons this freedom exercising douchebag hurt the right to carry, the health care debate and the image of those who disagree with the President's many over reaches."
• Waste of Time for the Secret Service, says Allahpundit at Hot Air. "Having a right doesn't mean you're obliged to exercise it, particularly in circumstances where it would be provocative to do so...Every pair of eyes diverted to watch this tool make his point about liberty is a pair that's not watching the rest of the crowd."

Others on the right, however, were not so sure. Without defending Kostric, Gaius at Blue Crab Boulevard suspected that he was an Obama plant:

Here's what strikes me as very, very fishy about this. The guy was not wrestled to the ground by Secret Service. That's weird.
