Quote of the Day: Obama Should 'Go Gangsta'

Jake Simpson Feb 11, 2010
President Obama has been increasingly stymied by Congress, with Senator Richard Shelby putting a blanket hold on all executive nominees and Congressional Republicans threatening to boycott the president's health care summit later this month.

So how can Obama deal with his opponents in Congress? While former Virginia governor Doug Wilder argues Obama should start by firing his advisers, CNN columnist Roland Martin suggests the president should take the fight to his foes. "Continuing to play footsie with opponents will only get him into more trouble," says Martin, so he urges Obama to "go gangsta."
Obama's critics keep blasting him for Chicago-style politics. So, fine. Channel your inner Al Capone and go gangsta against your foes. Let 'em know that if they aren't with you, they are against you, and will pay the price.
