Rep. Aaron Schock made his first appearance on Meet the Press this weekend, only to be met with charges of hypocrisy from Rachel Maddow about his votes on the stimulus bill. Maddow went after Schock for touting a green jobs inititaitive in his district, funded by the stimulut bill, which he voted against.
"You, in your district, I just read that you were at a community college touting a $350,000 green technology education program, talking about how great that was going to be for your district," she said. "You voted against the bill that created that grant. That's happening a lot with Republicans sort of taking credit for things that Democratic bills do and then Republicans simultaneously touting their votes against them and trashing them. That, I think, is a problem that needs to be resolved within your caucus. Because you seem like a very nice person but that is a very hypocritical stance to take."

Maddow didn't stop with just the stimulus bill, going on to slam Schock's statements on Umar Farouk Abdulmuttulab, challenging Schock to defend his assertion that reading someone their Miranda rights in unsafe. When Schock stated that "after the Christmas Day bomber was read his Miranda he did in fact stop cooperating with our intelligence," Maddow pounced:
