Happy Hour Vid: Palin Calls Republican Women 'Mama Grizzlies'

Heather Horn May 14, 2010
"Is the Tea Party a women's movement?" wondered Hannah Rosin at Slate earlier this week. To hear Sarah Palin tell it at the Susan B. Anthony List, yes:
You don't want to mess with moms that are rising up ... in Alaska I always think of the mama grizzly bears that rise up on their hind legs when somebody's coming to attack their cubs--to do something adverse toward their cubs. You know the mama grizzlies they rear up and if you thought pit bulls were tough well you don't want to mess with the mama grizzlies, and I think there are a whole lot of those in this room.
She goes on to praise the "common sense constitutional conservative women" who are "taking to the streets" in the name of their children, unwilling to leave the next generation saddled with debt. Have a look at a portion of the colorful speech.
