Morning Vid: Bill O'Reilly Defends Obama From Palin

Jared Keller 17 Views May 25, 2010
Bill O'Reilly is increasingly becoming the voice of moderation for much-maligned Fox News. The O'Reilly Factor host commented on Sarah Palin's claim that President Obama's response to the oil spill was delayed because of his administration's connections to oil companies. She had said that "if this was President Bush, or if were a Republican in office, who hadn't received this much support even as President Obama has from BP and other oil companies, you know the mainstream media would be all over his case."

O'Reilly agreed that a Republican president would have come under significant media scrutiny before refuting Palin. "'Talking Points' does not believe President Obama cares about BP money. He's got plenty of campaign cash. And this disaster is really hurting him," said O'Reilly. "The no spin truth: nobody knows how to stop the damn oil."
