Happy Hour Vid: Alabama Candidate Gathers His Armies

With the recent Tea Party hullabaloo in the elections of California and Nevada, reporters have paid little attention to the Tea Party insurgency brewing in Alabama. Businessman Rick Barber recently picked up the Tea Party endorsement over GOP front-runner Martha Roby in the Republican primary for Alabama's 5th congressional district. Playing to his constituents, the Barber campaign produced an ad--in true Alabama style--in which Barber seeks legitimacy from the Founding Fathers themselves:



NBC's Mark Murray is flabbergasted: "Rick Barber -- a Tea Party Republican competing in a congressional run-off down in Alabama -- is airing the first TV ad this reporter can remember that advocates taking up arms against the United States."
