The Rolling Stone profile of Stanley McChrystal may have endangered the general's job, potentially upended the strategy for the 120 thousand troops he commands, and complicated the war meant to save the 30 million residents of Afghanistan. But who is the real victim in all this? Conservative blogger Glenn Reynolds cheekily suggests no less than Lady Gaga, whose racy cover shoot for the forthcoming Rolling Stone has been overshadowed by McChrystal's profile.

Reynolds writes, "THE REAL VICTIM IN THAT MCCHRYSTAL/OBAMA FIGHT -- Lady GaGa!" Conservative blogger Ann Althouse concurs:

You think the new issue of Rolling Stone is tough on General McChrystal, but how do you think Lady Gaga feels? She posed for the cover in a big machine-gun bra and a nearly naked ass and purports to "tell all," yet everyone's talking about McChrystal, whose name isn't even on the cover! Life is so unfair to Lady Gaga!
