Morning Vid: Stewart Slams Rumors of Alvin Greene as GOP Plant

Last week, everyone was shocked by the surprise victory of unemployed veteran Alvin Greene in the South Carolina Democratic primary. Greene, who will face long-time Senator Jim DeMint in the November election, further baffled commentators during his painfully awkward appearance on Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Viewers gawked, while some pundits speculated the Greene was a GOP plant.

To no one's surprise, Jon Stewart found both Greene's victory and the media's reaction equally hilarious. "In any other state, a triumphant story," quipped Stewart. "Only South Carolina can take a silk purse and turn it into a sow's anus."
