Morning Vid: Olbermann Rails Against 'Screw You Economics'

Jared Keller Jul 1, 2010

Keith Olbermann isn't one to hold his tongue. With GOP lawmakers continuing to veto the extension of unemployment benefits on the eve of July 4th weekend, Olbermann lashed out at Republicans in his "Special Comment," declaring that GOP legislators are "political prostitutes" to corporations. "To you, it's unemployment," seethed Olbermann. "to corporations, it's cheap freelancers and temps. 'Better cost containment,' as one analyst put it."

Welcome to the Republicanss 21st century version of George H.W. Bush's "voodoo economics," said Olbermann; only now, it's "screw you economics"
